Jodee McWilliams Hoover
Executive Director of the
Richard Murphy Hospice House

A proud Hammond native, Jodee McWilliams Hoover is a graduate of Hammond High School and Southeastern Louisiana University, where her passion for helping others first took root. For the past eight years, Jodee has served as the Executive Director of the Richard Murphy Hospice House, leading with deep compassion, understanding, and grace.

Having lost her own mother to breast cancer in 2005, Jodee brings a heartfelt perspective to her work — one built on empathy, strength, and the belief that every family deserves comfort and dignity through life’s most difficult moments.

In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Jodee is a Registered Respiratory Therapist and a licensed Realtor® with Crescent Sotheby’s International Realty, combining her medical and business expertise with a lifelong dedication to serving others.

Outside of work, Jodee finds her greatest joy in family. She and her husband Brandon have been married for 21 years and are the proud parents of three children — Joel, who recently graduated from law school; Ragan, a junior at Southeastern Louisiana University; and Jake, a high school freshman. They also share their home with their furry best friends, Belle and Buck, who keep everyone smiling. Jodee is known for giving 110% to everything she’s involved in, always striving to lift others and leave her community better than she found it.

“People may forget what you said or did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”
