My journey in the funeral profession began in New Orleans in 1990, where I completed my apprenticeship in New Orleans and St. Bernard Parish. I earned my Louisiana funeral director’s license in 1999, and shortly thereafter, my family and I settled in the beautiful community of Ponchatoula. Since building our home here in 2007, I’ve had the honor of assisting families throughout the Greater New Orleans area and the North Shore for more than 35 years—helping them plan meaningful funeral services and life celebrations that truly reflect the memory of their loved ones.

In August 2019, supported by my loving family and friends, we opened LN Hughes Funeral Services with a heartfelt mission: to provide exceptional funeral and memorial services at a price that families can afford. Every detail of our tranquil and elegantly designed chapel is intended to offer a peaceful space for reflection and connection. Our calming reception room was created to help you feel right at home, surrounded by warmth and comfort.

We understand that facing loss is one of life’s most difficult journeys. That’s why you’ll always be greeted by a member of the Hughes Family when you enter our doors.
