Summer Parmley

Summer Parmley is a dedicated leader, advocate, and Executive Director who believes that meaningful change begins with compassion, courage, and a willingness to keep moving forward—even when the path is challenging.

With nearly a decade of experience in domestic violence advocacy, Summer has built her career around supporting survivors, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for people to feel empowered and heard. As Executive Director of Southeast Advocates for Family Empowerment (SAFE), she leads with a focus on service, accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.Summer’s leadership journey has taught her that being a strong woman in leadership does not mean having all the answers. It means being willing to learn, listen, make difficult decisions, acknowledge areas for growth, and continue showing up for the people who depend on you.

She is passionate about helping women recognize their own strength, find their voice, and understand that leadership can take many forms. Whether she is advocating for survivors, supporting her team, building community partnerships, or navigating the challenges of leading a nonprofit, Summer strives to lead with authenticity and purpose.

At the heart of her work is a simple belief: when women support and empower one another, they create change that reaches far beyond themselves.
